Services involved
| What | Provider and location | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| The website itself | GitHub Pages: GitHub, Inc., USA (privacy statement) | Your IP address, the page requested, browser details. GitHub logs these for operation and security. |
| GIF previews, only for GIF links you add | The GIF host of the link, e.g. Tenor (Google, USA) or Giphy (USA) | Your IP address and the GIF requested, when its preview is shown. |
| Previews of short Tenor links | corsproxy.io, outside Switzerland (privacy policy) | Your IP address and the Tenor link, so the preview image can be found. Nothing else you enter. |
Stored in your browser
This site sets no cookies. It keeps your settings in your browser's local storage, so they are still there next time:
hunt-train-gif-library-v2: the GIF links and labels you savedhunt-train-timer-duration,hunt-train-timer-sound,hunt-train-timer-voice: the timer settings
They stay on your device and are never sent to us. You can delete them by clearing the site data in your browser's settings; the tool works the same without them.
Data abroad
GitHub is based in the USA, so your IP address and the page request reach the USA when the site is loaded. GitHub states that it participates in the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. GIF hosts and the preview proxy are outside Switzerland and are only contacted for GIF links you add.
Your rights
Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) you can ask what personal data about you is processed, and have it corrected or deleted. Write to info@piogino.ch. As we store nothing about you, there is usually nothing we can link to you. You can also contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
Changes
This statement is updated when the tool changes; the date at the top shows the current version.
